WHAT ARE LIP INJECTIONS?
Lip Injections – Lip fillers not to be confused with Lip Augmentation or Surgical Lip Lift are the injection of a cosmetic filler material into one or both of your lips, by using a needle or a cannula.
The most common cosmetic lip filler products used generally contain hyaluronic acid, collagen, and fat, though the most popular are made of hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally-occurring substance in your body and is used often in skincare products and cosmetic procedures—such as lip fillers—because the product helps your skin retain moisture.
Some patients are looking for an understated and classic lip that aims to restore and hydrate or to enlarge and augment. Either way, cosmetic lip fillers can do both to give your lips the beautiful look and feel you dream about.
HOW LONG DO LIP FILLERS LAST?
First-time patients tend to experience their results disappear the fastest for lip fillers (depending on the cosmetic filler used)— usually four to six months.
Just like BOTOX – if you’re wanting to keep up with your cosmetic fillers, you’ll probably be able to stretch out your maintenance appointments more and more over time, due to a natural buildup in collagen with each new injection.
We find that some lip injection patients only need to freshen their lips up once a year after the first few times.
WHAT IS A LIP LIFT?
Different from non-surgical cosmetic injections, this is a surgery, performed under local anesthesia. Instead of using a cosmetic filler (example restylane), which when injected, pumps up the volume of your lips, a lip lift changes the appearance of your lips by focusing on space above your vermilion border where most injections are placed. Fillers add volume where the pinkish-toned tissue of your lips meets your skin.
The lip lift surgical treatment focuses on the area between your lips and the nose, the philtrum. This procedure reduces the distance between your lips and your nose, which gives your lips a fuller, plumper look by lifting – not filling. A small amount of tissue is removed from the area just under your nose, which causes your top lip to push upward. Once completed, your lips will appear fuller and more natural looking.

If you’re unhappy with your lip injections, WE CAN CORRECT LIP INJECTION MISTAKES. Remember that cosmetic fillers used for the lips are temporary hyaluronic acid fillers and can easily be removed if you wish.
